The Spanish round at Lugo was a mud-soaked challenge early on before the track improved, producing unpredictable racing across both classes. In MX2, Kay de Wolf extended his championship lead with another podium, while Andrea Adamo and Sacha Coenen split the moto wins. In MXGP, Romain Febvre controlled race one and did just enough in race two to clinch his second overall of the season, while Lucas Coenen and local hero Ruben Fernandez also stepped onto the podium.
